This was a nice short, has ingredients for a longer piece, too. You capture nicely the motivation behind the act, but I’m almost disappointed that the actual resolution is left for the next part.

This saga was borne out of a desire to understand and get under the skin of the low society of the viking age, far removed from the heroes, their halls and the grand (though often ill-fated) adventures. Odd and his family is the focus.
